Oral Appliance Therapy Evidence Brief

The OAT Evidence Brief is a compilation of studies that support oral appliance therapy as an effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Clinicians who are new to DSM can review this research to familiarize themselves with noteworthy research and best practices in the field. Members can use this as a reference tool when communicating with referral sources and insurance companies.

 

Screening for OSA - Recorded Lecture

This lecture introduces a method for screening patients for sleep-related breathing disorders in a general dentistry practice and provides an overview of the appropriate referral process, documentation needed, and the importance of patient education.

About the AADSM 

The AADSM is a national, non-profit membership organization representing dentists who treat sleep-disordered breathing. The AADSM provides members with a variety of resources to keep them at the forefront of dental sleep medicine, such as an online community to connect with other members, letter templates to help kick-start conversations with referring physicians or insurance companies, assistance with coding and billing, and much more.
