The Practice Management Weekend Workshop will be conducted as a live, in-person educational activity. The meeting will be comprised of lectures, and roundtable discussions and question and answer sessions.
Dentists and clinical and administrative team members in general and specialized dental practices with an interest in screening for or treating patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
While not required, it is strongly encouraged that dentists complete the AADSM Mastery Program and team members complete the DSM Team Training Program prior to registering for Practice Management On Demand.

10:15 AM – 11:15 AM | Leading Coordinated Team Screening and Referral | Frustrated with patients who refuse to seek a diagnosis for obstructive sleep apnea? Stressing the dentist’s role as team leader and the involvement of all office personnel, this session will provide suggestions, scripts, and an office protocol to support patients in their journey to diagnosis. |
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM | Scripting Difficult Conversations | This session will explore several challenging conversations typically encountered in DSM practices. The takeaways from this session will prepare dentists and their team members to tackle the tough conversation whether it is an unsatisfied patient, introducing yourself to a potential referring provider, presenting case fees, or having a peer-to-peer discussion for an insurance claim. |

1:15 PM – 3:15 PM | Harnessing Dental Software for Medical Recordkeeping | During this session, experts proficient in training dental offices to maximize dental software capabilities will demonstrate how DSM health histories, sleep questionnaires, SOAP notes and checklists can be incorporated into dental software and how dental software can be used to manage patient follow up. |

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | Medical Insurance Policy Research and Submission | This session will explain how to find a medical policy and read it for critical submission requirements and guidelines; determine remaining deductibles, out of pocket expectations, and prior authorization requirements; and enter codes and modifiers using medical claims forms. Then, participants will be led through how to incorporate these details into a mock financial discussion. |

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Maximizing Financial Solvency in DSM | This session will focus on how dentists and team members can influence their practice’s financial solvency. Strategies for maximizing DSM production, increasing efficiency and making technology investment decisions will be explored. |

10:15 AM – 11:15 AM | Understanding Industry Trends in Social Media and Marketing | The session will focus on simple, implementable tools to market your DSM practice using an interactive website design with a call to action, reviews and video testimonials, and social media platforms. 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM | Attracting and Maintaining Referral Sources | This session will outline a planned approach to physician outreach, including the critical conversations that must occur. |

The AADSM is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.
The AADSM designates the Practice Management Weekend Workshop for a total of 12 live, in-person continuing education credits.
Cancelation Policy
The AADSM reserves the right to cancel a course and provide a full refund should conditions warrant. The refund will only include the cost of registration for the course. A $50 administrative fee will be withheld on cancelations postmarked on or prior to October 24, 2025 for the Practice Management Weekend Workshop.
To cancel a registration, written notification must be submitted to the AADSM at rprince@aadsm.org October 24. After October 24, no refunds will be available. Refunds are not provided to those who do not attend the course.
Refunds will not be applied to the original payment source (i.e., credit card). Any refunds processed by the AADSM will be paid by check to individuals in the US (or e-payment to individuals who chose to set up an account in Bill.com) and by wire transfer to individuals outside of the US.

Participants should respect the personal boundaries that others may have due to their desire to mitigate the risk COVID-19 and other infectious illnesses. AADSM assumes no liability for illness caused by COVID-19 or other illnesses. Meeting participants assume the risk of attending public meetings and should exercise precautions appropriate to their circumstances.

Violations of this code are taken seriously and may result in action including, but not limited, to limiting the ability to participate in the Practice Management Program.
