2021 AADSM Annual Meeting is Going Virtual

In October, we announced our intent to host the 2021 AADSM Annual Meeting as a hybrid event, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. The spike in COVID-19 cases and subsequent restrictions have forced the AADSM leadership to consider the in-person component of the meeting.

We are hopeful that the current environment will improve soon; however, there is much uncertainty about what next year will look like. As such, the decision has been made to convert the 2021 AADSM Annual Meeting entirely to a virtual meeting. The event will occur on April 30-May 2.

While we certainly wish we could see all of you in person, we are excited about the benefits a virtual meeting can offer. Attendees of the 2021 AADSM Virtual Annual Meeting will be able to:

  • Earn up to 42 ADA CERP CE credits
  • Access all lectures for 1 year
  • Interact with speakers in live Q&A chat rooms
  • Connect virtually with other attendees
  • Network in the virtual exhibit hall
  • View the latest research in the virtual poster hall

The AADSM recognizes the challenges many of you are facing right now. To support you through these precarious times and ensure that you have access to the latest clinical and scientific advances in the field, the AADSM will be subsidizing much of the costs for the 2021 Annual Meeting to offer a one-time, discounted registration fee of $100 for AADSM members – a $450 savings!

For those eager to get back to experiencing in-person education, the AADSM Emerging Concepts: Ordering and Administering HSAT Course is being planned as an in-person course in Fall 2021. We will continue to monitor the pandemic but are anticipating that this course will include networking opportunities, hands-on learning and an exhibit hall. More information regarding the dates and location of the course will be available in the next couple of months.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate this ever-evolving environment. We look forward to sharing more information about the 2021 AADSM Virtual Annual Meeting soon!

Sincerely,

David Schwartz, DDS
President, AADSM
