In January 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) implemented significant changes to evaluation and management (E/M) codes and the required documentation. It is expected that these changes will be adopted by commercial insurers. This webinar will provide critical understanding of these revisions and provide details on what documentation is necessary to support code levels and establish medical necessity.

Target Audience
Dentists and team members treating patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  1. Describe the significance of changes to E/M coding and the required documentation;
  2. Define the elements of medical decision making (MDM); and
  3. Translate current treatment appointments into appropriate E/M levels
