The AADSM will host several educational courses throughout the remainder of 2016. Here are brief course descriptions to help you determine which one is best for you:
• Essentials of Dental Sleep Medicine Course - A great starting point for earning CE, this course provides an overview of sleep apnea and how to incorporate dental sleep medicine into your practice. The course addresses practice issues and the establishment of office systems, and it presents clinical examples of sleep apnea treatment with oral appliance therapy.
• Practical Demonstration Course - Designed for those who have already taken the Essentials Course, this class walks you through the steps of treating a patient with oral appliance therapy. Through observation and small group interactions, participants will build on the basics and learn practical applications.
• NEW! Dental Sleep Medicine Staff Course - Both new and experienced auxiliary employees, including clinical and administrative staff, will learn how to better support the dentist's oral appliance therapy treatment protocols. The timing of the course coincides with the Practical Demonstration Course, providing convenient, simultaneous education for you and your staff.
• Advances in Dental Sleep Medicine Course - If you are a seasoned practitioner, this course is for you! Participants will review current and future technologies and gain insight on best practices to prevent or minimize possible complications.
